PM Murekezi urges employees and employers for better services

While speaking yesterday at the celebrations of the International Labour Day at Kigali Special Economic Zone in Gasabo District, Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi said that better service delivery to everyone is the only tactic to fight poverty and improve a country’s productivity.

Prime Minister said that celebrating Labour Day helps employees and employers to reflect on companies and institutions’ performances in the past and also deliberate on further improvement.

Anastase Murekezi pointed out that there is still a lot to be done to ensure the country is developed even thought the country has made important progress in the sector of labour and services.

“Last Year, services contributed 48 per cent to the national growth, and this is due to improved services, therefore I call upon all employees and employers to ensure that they offers better service to their clients.” Said Anastase Murekezi.

Anastase Murekezi called upon the private sector to embrace Made in Rwanda programme as well as improving the quality of their products so as to be able to win public tenders.

“Let us bear in mind that a client is a king and offer them needed service in a better and quicker way. Let us also use technology to improve the way we offer services to our customers.” PM Murekezi added.

He further called them to focus on what is mostly needed on the market by Rwandans and also to improve in awareness and publicity of their products as some Rwandans might not be aware of the companies’ products.

The premier said that celebrating the day at the Kigali Special Economic Zone is a sign of promoting the Made-in-Rwanda programme and also attracting more investors to the place meant for that.
